Postdoctoral Researcher in Biomimetic Electrocatalysis-SDU

The Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy at the University of Southern Denmark invites applications for a position as postdoc in bioinorganic chemistry. The position is available from the 1 February 2020 and for one year with the possibility of extension to two years.

Postdoctoral Researcher

The position is associated with a project concerning the remediation of water containing trace organic pollutants e.g. pesticides.  The research objective will be the development and immobilization of molecular iron complexes for use in the electrocatalysis of the total mineralization of organic molecules in water.

The preferred candidate will have relevant experience in most of the following areas: The synthesis of ligands and transition metal complexes and their characterization, methods for immobilization of catalysts on solid supports and electrochemistry with an interest in instrument development. The project is part of a collaboration with the Water Research Centre of the University of New South Wales, Australia.

Qualification
