Call for Principal Project Associate and Project Associate -IISc
- Name of PI: Prof. Saumitra Das, Professor, Department of Microbiology and Cell Biology, IISc
- Duration of the Project: Two Years (extendable for one more year based on the performance)
- Fellowship: Fellowship commensurate with the qualification and experience (as per the DST guidelines).
Essential Qualifications
Principal Project Associate– Ph.D. in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Basic Science with good scientific publication record. Those with previous work experience with Viruses and RNA binding proteins will be preferred
Project Associate– Minimum 60% marks: Master’s degree in Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Basic Science with CSIR-UGC-NET/GATE
Desirable
Principal Project Associate– 4 years’ post Ph.D. research experience in Research and Development in industrial and academic institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.
Project Associate– 2 years’ experience in Research and Development in industrial and academic institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services. The project involves virology, molecular biology, cell biology, and animal handling techniques, so preference will be given to candidates who are having prior experience in these fields.
Age limit
Principal Project Associate – 40 years
Project Associate – 35 years
