How to Apply for ICSSR Proposals

To submit your proposal, visit the ICSSR website, where the application form will be available starting April 22. Ensure you complete the online application and adhere to the specified format for your research proposal. Don’t forget to include all necessary documents.

After online submission, remember to send hard copies of your application and annexures, duly endorsed by your university/college/institute authorities, within 10 days following the online deadline.

Project Details:

Selected projects will run for 8 to 12 months, with the potential for extension based on performance and relevance. Compensation and benefits for project staff are competitive and vary based on the role:

  • Research Associate: Monthly salary of ₹47,000. Candidates must hold a postgraduate degree in a social science discipline, along with NET/MPhil/PhD and 2 years of research experience.
  • Research Assistant: Monthly salary of ₹37,000. Qualifications include a PhD/MPhil/Postgraduate degree in a social science discipline.
  • Field Investigator: Monthly salary of ₹20,000 (not exceeding 6 months). Candidates should possess a postgraduate degree in a social science discipline.
