About:
An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Professor Saveez Saffarian at the University of Utah Center for Cell and Genome Science.
The projects available include Mechanism of protease activation within the immature lattice of HIV and interplay between cellular ESCRT proteins and virion release.
Expertise in cell biology, virology, electron microscopy or single-molecule biophysics is encouraged. The lab is located in a modern newly designed building that also hosts an iPALM microscope, Live imaging scopes as well as Krios Cryo-TEM all of which are accessible for the project.
