Cardiff University, United Kingdom seeks a talented, motivated postdoctoral researcher with practical expertise in compound semiconductor processing and/or semiconductor quantum optics to join in the team, supported by funding from two large scale national research programmes: the UK Hub in Quantum Computing and Simulation and the Future Compound Semiconductor Manufacturing Hub.
Semiconductor Devices
The appointee will conduct research in compound semiconductor processing and quantum optics using our newly equipped optical labs and state-of-the-art cleanroom. You will be expected to collaborate closely with partners in both Hubs, publish work in high-quality journals, promote our work at international conferences and contribute to the activities of the Institute for Compound Semiconductors and School of Engineering.
Duration of Postdoctoral researcher
This post is full time (35 hours per week), available immediately and fixed-term for 2 years.
Salary
Salary: £33,797 – £40,322 per annum (Grade 6)
